Winefred Married Doctor Clark. Family discussions recount stories about visits to aunt Winnie's house in Hyderbad. Ethel May Chamarette with daughters Joyce and Zoe would visit Winnie, who would at sometime through the visit bring out chests of jewelry ofsignificant value and historical importance. The clark family was connected with the Nizam of hyderabad known to be the richest man in the world at that time.Ethel and the children, would each be asked, to select one piece of jewelry from the chest tohave as gifts and they would. However, Winnie at an opportune moment and chance was always able to collect all jewelry and put it back in the chest. Leaving a disappointed mother and daughters.At some later point in time possibly a couple of years, Winnie tried the same act on visiting family. Joyce being one of the group at the time, who had learned the Winnie trick, promptly placed a ring on her finger. The ring is now on the finger of Jane her Daughter. I'm sure Granddaughter Kerry Jane will some daygive it to her daughter and recount the story.

On the web site for Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, there is a bit of history. When it was Hyderabad Medical School, teaching in Urdu, in 1888 a Chloroform Commission was set up (with the Nizam's blessing) to study the effect of Chloroform on dogs.They did pioneer work, and one of the commission members was Mr A Chamarette. The leader of the commission was Dr Laurie.The Medical School was set up in 1846 by the Nizam, deliberately using Urdu to encourage native doctors, from the sound of it.
Since Arthur was Assistant Surgeon HH Nizam's service in 1887 when he married, this is almost certain to be him. He would have been 27 years old, so quite junior.
Arthur Mitchell (other researcher) confirms this.

I haven't been able to find his baptism - the date of birth is that given on the St Georges Church web site, and confirmed by his marriage certificate - he was 27 in 1887. Chadarghat is now Chadherghat (according to St Georges Church) and is in the cityof Hyderabad.

Norman Chamarette says he had a wonderful military funeral at Hyderabad.

Arthur married Mary Caroline Louise Fallon on 17 Jan 1894 in Bangalore, India. Mary (daughter of Colonel William Fallon and Louise Palmer) was born after 1860. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

In LDS the only possible Mary (Catherine) Fallon was born in 1880 (6 years older than Beryl, 19 years younger than Arthur, old enough to marry in 1896) in Tamil Nadu. The only other one would have been older than Arthur.

John married Winifred Amelia Thompson on 12 Aug 1856 in Government Cuthchery, Lingsoogour, Raichur Doab, India. Winifred (daughter of William Arthur Milton Thompson and Julia Anne Crampton) was born on 3 Mar 1841 in Aurungabad, India; was christened on 11 May 1841 in Aurungabad, India; died on 22 Jun 1891 in Chaderghat, Hyderabad, India; was buried on 22 Jun 1891 in Chaderghat, Hyderabad, India. Norman Chamarette says he was a Colonel, seconded from the Irish Guards to the Sepoy Army of the Nizam of Hyderabad.
