- [S11] Personal Knowledge, Letter from Robert's sister Anna Dawson.
She mentions that she saw Robert's death in a Brackley newspaper, and says she is sorry Mrs Weston is so badly off. This would be Robert's widow Marie Kett - NB the numbers of servants went steadily down in the censuses even though they had a large family. - [S18] 1881 British Census - LDS.
In the 1881 census entry, Maria Weston is the right age and she would be a widow since Robert died 1872. She would have moved ('appartment' was put in then crossed out) to lodgings in the same street.
This confirms Jane Elizabeth's comment about her being badly off after Robert died. - [S28] BMD - EnglishOrigins.
Marriage allegation. Have a paper copy. Date on the allegation 04 Dec 1849. This is application for a license to the Faculty Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury. It was the alternative to calling the Banns for 3 Sundays, and somewhat classier.Several churches might have been named. St Dunstans in the West is in Fleet St, London.
