She died of Disease of the Chest, and had a lay burial (as did all on the page) at one of Arcot, Booldanar, Berhampore, Cannanore, or Ellichpore. She was 43, wife of Samuel Maine, Pensioned Apothecary of the Madras Establishment, so he was still alive. His surname is spelt Main, she is Rosenah Deselva. He was a drummer with 39th Regiment H.N.I - probably HH Nizam's Infantry. He signed, she made her mark. She is not here described as an 'Indo Briton'.
