Gives exact date, and time of death as 8:00pm! From family papers. So she survived the birth of Winifred by 3 months. This is confirmed by her burial details

Died of Diarrhoea and General Debility - presumably from birth of Winifred Florence. She was 25yrs 6 months and 18 days. Buried by G Goldsmith, Hyderabad Mission. Place for the return of burials is given Chudderghaut, Cocanada, Coonoor. Within the entries these are given as subheads, and Catherine is under Chudderghaut. No church mentioned.

He was 20 (very young for India) assistant Clerk Telegraph Department, she was 23. His father is George Cheek Combes. No father is given for her, though a witness is H Bowen, which could be her father Henry. However the entry above could be her sister, and there the father is Henry, so perhaps was only put down once for both of them as father.

He was 27, Assistant Surgeon, HH Nizam's Service, she was 22 - quite old. Chadarghat is now Chadherghat (according to St Georges Church) but from other sources it is Chaderghat. It is in the city of Hyderabad. The Rev Henry Fitzpatrick, Minister and Chaplain of St George's Church, performed this marriage. He was the first chaplain, 1875 to 1895. Witnesses Paul G Schaffter, Geo G H Combes,and Tom W P Chamarette. So Thompson WAS known as Tom!
