Died of Chronic Bronchtis and Cardiac Failure. Informant was daughter E E Lindsell of 37 Rayne Road, Bocking. Perhaps she was born before they were married, when Harriett was a Lindsell? - [S1] Certificate, Marriage - ref was vol 12 p 28 Dec Qtr.
Neither had been previously married (though William made up for this later!), and both lived in Braintree. He was 24, a fruiterer, she was 19. They both made their mark ie couldn't write, as did one witness, Caroline Lindsell. The other witness, William Cousins, signed. - [S1] Certificate, marriage - ref was Vol 4A p 637Dec qtr.
She was a minor, and her father was a fishmonger. David's father is described as a sugar boiler - the marriage certificate doesn't mention that he was dead.
