  [S1] Certificate, Marriage, FRC Mar 1847 Merthyr Tydfil vol 26 p483. Ages not given but we have that from the censuses. Charles is a farmer, son of William a farmer. Gwenllian has no profession, her father Evan Evans is a tailer. Both of Ystradyfodwg, both made their mark, as did a witness Mary Thomas. The other witness J Chapman signed. Marriage was at the Carmel Chapel a Baptists Church. [S1] Certificate, Marriage, Pontypridd vol 11a p543. He was 20, a farmer living at Tylaforest, Treherbert, father Charles Thomas, deceased farmer. She was 19 living in Treherbert, father Evan Davies a collier. He signed, she made her mark as did the witnesses Thomas Francis Cedd and Mary George.
