John Weston and his son Robert are buried here. There
is a strong possibility that Robert's daughter Mary and son
John (the first one) who both died young are also buried here.

Notes - In the 1871 census he describes his occupation as "Solicitor & Occupying 230 Chasses(?) of land Employing 6 men & 3 boys"
- The only one of the Weston family still living in Brackley in 1881. Of course the sisters might still be there under married names.
Widowed by 1881. He lived in the High Street, in Brackley St Peter and was the head of household. Two servants and a relative lived with him, but no children at that time. However the relative, Annie Maria Allen, wife of Roland Allen, is the right age to be a daughter, though she was born in Towcester.
Look for an Annie Maria Weston born about 1847 in Towcester, parents Arthur and Mary. She would need to have left home before 1871, since she wasn't there for that census.

Sources - [S11] Personal Knowledge, Letter from Anna Dawson (Robert's sister, Arthur's aunt).
She is glad Arthur has his father's situation as Coroner and hopes he will help his stepmother out since he has no children to support. - [S97] Other Researchers - Karen Brown.
His (Robert's) son Arthur Weston, also of Brackley, Gentleman, made his will 7th January 1888 and the same was proved 17th March 1890. Arthur Weston left his whole estate to his nieces, Sarah Yates nee Sheppard and Anna Maria Cowley Allen.
NB These will be the daughters of his sisters - from this it might be possible to trace their marriages. - [S2] Other Researchers - Newcastle family branch.

I have the CD of Northants Marriages. by License. Robert is of Deddington, Oxford (at university?), and Mary Rebecca is outside the parish of St James. In the census she is shown as born out of the area and her parents were born in Oxford, so presumably he met her there.
