  [S1] Certificate, Marriage, FRC Mar 1847 Merthyr Tydfil vol 26 p483. Ages not given but we have that from the censuses. Charles is a farmer, son of William a farmer. Gwenllian has no profession, her father Evan Evans is a tailer. Both of Ystradyfodwg, both made their mark, as did a witness Mary Thomas. The other witness J Chapman signed. Marriage was at the Carmel Chapel a Baptists Church. [S19] BMD - ancestry websites, Marriage vol 11a p677. On Gwenllian's death certificate the informant was Evan Williams her son-in-law. Mary Ann was her eldest daughter, and this marriage fits also with the census data.
