  [S36] Other Researchers - Jack Edwards. Salar Jung 1st (Mir Turab Ali Khan) the prime minister of the Nizam [who was only 3 years old when he became Nizam] was a great collector of art. Whilst on his travels to Europe he heard Joseph Henry Luschwitz conducting an orchestra in Vienna and was much taken with the music. He asked Joseph Henry to come to Hyderabad and start a band for the State. The baptism certificates (for his children) from St Joseph's Church show him early on as "Band Master" later he is described as Director of Music.
